Salary information has become a standard part of a job ad. It is a result of the Employment Services Act (5/2004 §62 sec. 2), according to which the employers are mandatory to disclose the basic wage component in the job ads.
On Profesia.sk, the salary information is entered in the section Salary terms in the job ad form. The form is designed to use the salary information in the most effective way, so that your job ads would gain the highest number of views and applications.
How to enter the salary terms correctly?
The salary information should always be stated as brutto (gross wage). You enter basic wage, the upper limit of the wage, currency and period for which the salary will be paid (monthly or hourly wage).
How to enter the salary information in the most effective way:
- If you are a company with a fixed salary policy without the possibility to state the salary as a range, you enter the offered salary into the Basic wage field. Depending on this information your job ad will be searchable, when the candidates use Search by salary. You can leave the Upper limit field empty. You can explain your salary in the field Additional salary information.
- If you are a company with a variable salary (or it depends on the candidate’s experience), we suggest you fill out the field Basic wage and the Upper limit. The upper limit helps your job ad to be better searchable. Moreover, you don’t have to display it to the candidates. Your job ad will only show the basic wage with the preposition FROM. If you want the upper limit to be visible, just click the checkbox Show the upper limit. It can help you attract the best candidates. The salary information can be explained in the field Additional salary information.
The Basic wage field equals the basic wage component. Meaning that, while signing the contract with the future employee, you can’t put a lesser amount as a basic wage as the one stated in the job ad.
The salary information can be explained in the field Additional salary information.
How does the salary search work?
Job seekers are able to search the job ads by salary in the job ads list or using the advanced search. It is one of the most used search criteria. Job seekers filter job ads by the lower limit of the salary (for example: from 500 €, from 1 000 €, from 1 500 €).
Example: If your job ad offers a basic salary from 900 €, your it will be displayed when job seekers use the search filters from 500 € and from 700 €. If your job ad offers salary ranging from 900 € to 1 200 €, it will be displayed when search filters from 500 €, from 700 € and from 1 000 € are used. If you use hourly wage, it will be calculated, and your job ads will be shown in the search by salary results and it also works the other way around.
Salary in the job ads list
The salary is also displayed in the search results list with a green label in the chosen form.
In the job ad detail, the information is displayed in the header (a grey field under the job ad title). Right under the salary sum the Additional salary information will be shown (if you’ve filled them in).
